ING Australia is looking for a Mortgages Risk Analyst to join our Mortgages - Safe Business team In this position, the Mortgages Risk Analyst will be responsible for helping to de-risk the mortgages business through control and monitoring activities and implementing monitoring processes across the mortgages chain. In addition to this, the Mortgages Risk Analyst will drive the delivery of risk projects that directly impact the Mortgages business and manage ongoing risk and remediations that may arise.

**What You'll Do**
- De-risk the mortgages business through control and monitoring activities
- Closure of risk events and issues utilising strong business and risk knowledge
- Implementation of monitoring processes across the mortgages chain
- Project management of large remediations end to end (including compensation and communication activities)
- Implementation of new processes to improve risk maturity.
- Develop an assurance capability to establish operating effectiveness of the control framework
- Work with 2nd line to ensure regulatory obligation related controls are properly designed and operating
- Be accountable for system or process enhancements relating to de-risking the Mortgages portfolio.
- Drive the delivery of regulatory risk projects that impact the Mortgages business and meet deadlines set by regulators

**What We're Looking For**
- Has demonstrated deep and broad level of experience (2+ years) in the fundamentals of one or more core pillars such as; product management, process or optimisation, operational risk management (1st or 2nd line), issue and event management or risk remediation.
- Confident to work independently whilst also performing complex tasks and analysis
- Has a holistic view and determines priorities based on context
- Is a go-to-person for the team when encountering challenges
- Capable of influencing stakeholder expectations to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved
- Serves as an example of continuous feedback, constantly challenging the team and by doing so creating a learning culture
- Challenges and improves own work and that of colleagues continuously
