Sub-Specialty Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
We are seeking a psychiatrist with sub-specialty training and expertise in child & adolescent psychiatry to work in regional NSW, providing specialist services to the population in the Western NSW Local Health District.
The position is oriented to provide acute care to younger people in the CAMHS inpatient unit located at Bloomfield Hospital, part of Orange Health Service in the Western NSW Local Health District.
The role sits within Mental Health Services in Orange, a regional hub in the Western NSW Local Health District.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist psychiatric services to patients in the CAMHS inpatient unit at Bloomfield Hospital.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, medical colleagues, other health professionals, and relevant government and non-government organisations.
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
Requirements:
A medical degree (registerable/registered) with the Medical Board of Australia, Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent, and sub-specialty training and relevant qualifications in child and adolescent psychiatry with experience in inpatient/outpatient/community settings.
Skillful in verbal and written communication, as well as the use of computer technology.
