**About the role**

Here at RACQ, we want to shape a more sustainable and safer future for all Queenslanders. Due to the expansion of the group's strategic operative environment, we are looking for a Strategy Specialist to help develop key parts of RACQ's future group strategy. Reporting to the Head of Group Strategy, we are looking for an energetic and strategically minded professional to contribute to strategic development initiatives across the group. Your duties will include:

- Maintaining a constant and continuous watch within own field of expertise over the Group's strategic environment, identify and report on trends, changes, opportunities, and challenges with possible impact to the Group.
- Building and maintaining Group Strategy's comprehensive knowledge data base, containing background research data, market, and competitor insights, and documented aligned and agreed strategies.
- Supporting financial analysis in respect to strategic initiatives, to be able to consider and advise on the financial efficacy of such proposed strategies.
- Contributing to the effective integration of Group function and business line strategy between departments and within the Group's broader context.
- Assisting the Head of Group Strategy in leading the development and execution of strategy for the Group.

**About you**

As our next Strategy Specialist, you will get the opportunity to work across the whole bandwidth of our topic areas with strong stakeholder and relationship management skills. As a specialist you will support these stakeholders by being a go-to trusted advisor with professional curiosity. As well as this it is important that you have:

- A University degree within a relevant study area
- At least 3 years' experience within a relevant field
- High-level cognitive and conceptual skills and abilities
- Working knowledge of common strategic and planning methodologies
- Previous exposure to the financial sector would be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to get results by working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
- An ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and competency in new strategic and operational areas.
