Job Description

We are seeking a Human Factors Specialist to lead our safety strategy and improve organisational performance.

This is a unique opportunity to shape our enterprise-wide safety strategy, influence organisational learning, and uplift safety capability through advanced human factors integration and data-led insights.

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our enterprise safety strategy, translating strategy into action.

You will partner with operational leaders to embed safety initiatives and build aligned business unit plans that reflect frontline realities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing enterprise-wide human factors expertise to influence system design, procedures, and environments to optimise human performance and reduce risk.
  • Championing Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles to foster systems thinking, psychological safety, and organisational learning.
  • Leading a high-performing team responsible for analytics, strategy development, and HF integration.
  • Monitoring and reporting on enterprise safety performance, using insights to drive proactive improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A tertiary qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related discipline.

- Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-level strategy, culture programs, or change initiatives.

- Ability to translate complex safety, behavioural, and systems data into practical and actionable insights.

- Experience influencing and presenting to senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
