This role is suited to a technically proficient individual who thrives in complex environments and is committed to service excellence, security, and continuous improvement.About the RoleThis position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of hybrid infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Citrix, and VMware technologies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising existing systems, implementing automation, and ensuring the reliability and security of infrastructure supporting essential public services.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environmentsMonitor system performance and resolve issues to ensure high availabilityLead system upgrades, patching, and security updates in accordance with policyCollaborate with application support teams to develop and execute upgrade plansStandardise build procedures using templated images and automation tools (e.g., MECM, MDT, PowerCLI)Assist with virtual machine migrations and hardware transitionsParticipate in a 24x7 support roster for critical infrastructure (on-call duties required)Essential RequirementsDemonstrated experience in Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux administrationProven capability in VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi automationPractical experience with Citrix technologies including Studio, Director, and NetScaler GatewayProficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or PowerCLI)Familiarity with MECM/SCCM or equivalent deployment frameworksExperience delivering infrastructure uplift in enterprise or government settingsDesirable AttributesExposure to ISO27001 controls, Essential Eight maturity models, or ITIL-aligned operationsExperience in regulated, SLA-based, or cost-recovery environmentsUnderstanding of secure build baselines, patching, and monitoring practicesApplications throough the link provided, or email ********************** quote REF#******Your interest in the role will be treated with the strictest confidence.Applications close 1st July Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
