Following the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world's leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. **Your responsibilities will include**:

- Preliminary Hazard Identification
- System Requirements / Hazard Analysis
- Health Hazard Analysis
- Environmental Hazard Analysis
- Functional Hazard Analysis
- Subsystem & System Hazard Analysis
- Operating and Support Hazard Analysis
- Perform System Safety Risk Assessments in support of technical and design hazards identified during UH-60M operation and maintenance, and recording associated safety argumentation within System Safety Assessment Reports and the greater Safety Case Report, as required.
- Manage the UH-60M Hazard Log.
- Facilitate Platform and Project level System Safety Working Groups (SSWGs).
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust consultation and communication of risks and associated controls.
- Provision of support to Incident / Accident Investigations

**About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following**:

- Detailed knowledge of aircraft systems and sub-systems.
- Prior experience co-ordinating safety programs under the DASR framework, particularly DASR Part 21.
- A strong working knowledge of obligations under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011.
- Experience in the provision of System Safety Management support for In-Service Capability
- Excellent communication, team work and conflict resolution skills

**Desirable**
- Prior experience working on a rotary wing programs.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng, Engineers Australia)

**Special Requirements**:

- Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
