_Connect Child and Family Services Ltd (Connect) is a not-for-profit organisation helping families nurture and educate their children. Serving communities in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury and Western Sydney, we are committed to overcoming barriers to a child's development, their transition into school, and into community life._

Connect and Nurture (CAN) is a unique volunteer home visiting service offering tired parents practical help and companionship. The innovative program began as a partnership with parents and Connect's community workers and continues to evolve in response to community need.

**We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Program Coordinator to work on a part time basis (24 hours per week) to support and coordinate the team of volunteers to meet client needs.**

In this role you will:

- Recruit, train and manage the team of volunteers.
- Match volunteers with families to provide the best support.
- Work alongside the Family Support worker and Community Services teams.
- Grow and develop a unique and innovative community support program.

**You will have**:

- Qualification or extensive experience in Community Development, Social Work or similar
- Experience of recruiting, training and managing Volunteer staff
- Experience working with parents of young children, people facing socio/economic disadvantage
- Commitment to supporting the needs and rights of people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, CALD and rural/ remote.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective administrative systems and processes
- Clear Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Approved Child Protection training certificate.
