We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented **Stock Controller** to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes, contributing to the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across ambient, chilled, and frozen goods.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure stock integrity.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly, reporting findings to management.
- **System Operations**:

- Accurately update stock data in Microsoft NAV and ensure the system reflects real-time inventory levels.
- Generate inventory reports to support decision-making and highlight trends or potential issues.
- **Receiving and Dispatch Support**:

- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and update inventory records.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify inefficiencies in stock handling processes and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Support internal teams by providing accurate stock information to facilitate operations and customer service.

**What We Are Looking For**:

- **Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Coordinator, or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (experience with Microsoft NAV is highly desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Understanding of stock management principles, including FIFO.
- Experience managing inventory in temperature-controlled environments (chilled, frozen, and ambient).
- **Personal Qualities**:

- Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Comfortable working in cold storage environments as needed.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks (within safety guidelines).
