The Opportunity
We're looking for a Finance Partner to join our high-performing team, supporting operational leaders and council stakeholders to deliver financial clarity, insight, and value.
In this dynamic and hands-on role, you'll be responsible for a broad portfolio, covering financial reporting, council contract oversight, and performance analysis across operational KPIs. Your role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making, financial control, and forward-looking planning.
Responsibilities
Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including month-end journals, P&L reporting, and management operating reports (MOR).
Monitor and analyse key operational productivity KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to improve outcomes.
Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts (weekly and monthly), ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Liaise with council partners, oversee council claims, and ensure contractual and financial obligations are met.
Prepare and review business cases, providing financial modelling to support decision-making.
Assist in setting and maintaining financial matrices to drive accountability and transparency.
About You
CA, or CPA qualified, with relevant accounting and commercial experience in a complex, industrial, or waste management business.
Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
Experience with business case preparation, financial modelling, and operational KPI monitoring.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
