**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our progressive Perioperative team at Peninsula Private Hospital. We offer a variety of surgical services ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Spine, Orthopaedics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and ENT.
- Coordinating and delivering an education plan for the provision of the highest standards of patient care;
- Facilitating department based training and clinical competency assessments across Perioperative Services;
- Being an integral member of the clinical team orientating and educating staff at the bedside; and
- Supporting Post graduate students, Perioperative Novice's and Graduate Nurses.

**About You**

To be successful in the role, you will have the following selection criteria:

- Relevant AHPRA registration - Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Perioperative Services (broad range of experience across Perioperative Nursing specialty desirable);
- Certificate IV in training and assessment;
- Advanced scrub scout nursing and education experience;
- Previous experience in an education role advantageous;
- Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent communication skills and ability to effectively negotiate;
- Positive role model and demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service;
- Organised, efficient and professional with highly developed clinical problem solving skills and advanced skills in nursing assessment;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently where required;
- Innovative and flexible approach to education delivery; and
- Proven knowledge of the Theatre specialty, scrub scout and anaesthetics.

**About the Hospital**

Peninsula Private Hospital is a comprehensive 344 bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility located in the bayside town of Frankston in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs. The hospital currently accommodates a 14 bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds which include 15 day infusion chairs. As a fully accredited health care facility we offer the highest standards of clinical care, patient service, and technology.

Built in 1999, the hospital is one of the newest and most advanced facilities of its kind.
