Operational Excellence in Theatre Environments

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an operating theatre technician and be skilled in creating engaging learning experiences for their peers. This role provides an opportunity to develop the skills of other technicians, enhance the efficiency of our operations, and contribute to a positive work environment.

About the Role:

  • Create comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of theatre technicians
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate technician competencies
  • Serve as a mentor to novice technicians, offering guidance and support throughout their professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver education initiatives that meet the evolving needs of our team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver effective training programs
  • Conduct competency assessments and provide constructive feedback
  • Supervise and support novice technicians
  • Collaborate on educational initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree or Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician (GR5)
  • Minimum 5 years' clinical experience in operating theatres
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant tertiary qualification in education
  • Ongoing professional development in education/clinical education
