Theatre Technician Role: Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Technician to join our team on a casual, part-time or full-time basis. As a Theatre Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall performance of the operating suite.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation
  • Preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment
  • Providing safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt
  • A Certificate III Theatre Technician qualification and at least 12 months clinical experience as a theatre technician in an acute operating theatre
  • A clear understanding and use of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of and ability to set-up medical devices / theatres
