**Description**
We are looking for a Head of People and Culture to lead the strategic HR function for a 12-month parental leave contract. As the Head of People and Culture, you will assume a pivotal position for overseeing the implementation of a range of strategic people and culture strategies, frameworks, and activities.
In this leadership appointment, you will be instrumental in creating and upholding contemporary approaches to employee engagement and employee experience, aimed at delivering high-impact culture change across our organisational culture, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion functions.
You will provide leadership across internal communications and engagement, bringing our purpose, strategy, and employee value proposition to life through people-centred communications and events. Additionally, you will oversee the talent development function, with a focus on growth and career development, talent and succession planning, leadership development, and Group capability uplift.
You will also play a critical role in supporting the Risk Culture workstream and broader Risk Transformation Program, ensuring alignment in approach and employee experiences across the risk culture and organisational culture programs of work.
About the role:
- Provide high-level expertise in the fields of organisational culture and values, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, internal communications and events, change management, employee engagement, employee value proposition, and talent development.
- Provide strategic leadership to the People and Culture department to ensure fit-for-purpose people and culture initiatives to attract, engage, and retain the workforce needed to execute strategy.
- Research, plan, and write strategic papers, business cases, and reports for Senior Management/Board and provide well developed recommendations.
- Influence, negotiate, and make recommendations to management to achieve best practice People and Culture outcomes.
- Work closely with executives to ensure alignment in direction and execution of strategic people and culture related matters.
- Partner with HR to ensure collaboration and alignment across the strategic and operational HR functions.
About you:
- Extensive People and Culture and/or Human Resources experience with proven consistency of delivering high level performance
- Extensive knowledge of Future of Work trends and the impact of changes in the internal and external environment, including the ability to incorporate these into People and Culture strategies
- Demonstrated expertise in leading change management projects and extensive knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Confidence in using data driven insights to drive decision making and prepare executive level reports and well-reasoned recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and negotiate with senior management and executives
- Ability to analyse data and prepare executive level reports and recommendations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think innovatively, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable to work in ambiguity in a high-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated senior leadership capability in coaching, mentoring, and engaging a team
