About the Team
The Global Programs team is the strategic partnership group of AIG Travel, focused on building and managing long-term relationships with airlines and online travel agencies. The team comprises Product & Partnerships Managers and Partnerships Delivery Managers who work collaboratively with AIG Travel's broader organisation in rolling out our travel insurance distribution solutions end-to-end for our partners. Team members gain broad exposure and experience across AIG Travel and AIG as we identify and implement solutions that best suit the unique needs of our travel partners and their customers.
Job Summary
Main responsibilities
The Partnerships Delivery Manager will:
- Lead, coach and empower cross-functional teams in delivering projects/initiatives
- Work in partnership with the Product & Partnerships Manager to manage the overall prioritisation of projects/initiatives based on agreed partnership priorities; projects will range from new product launches, product maintenance, customer experience improvements, process improvements
- Set and continually manage project status, milestones and cadence with team members and external stakeholders, tracking progress from initiation through launch and empowering project team members to deliver
- Understanding blind spots, dependencies, identifying and escalating risks/bottlenecks across projects
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to improve efficiency, effectiveness
- Collaborate with AIG peers globally in order to deliver prioritised projects on-time and on-quality
- Provide timely and scheduled updates and communications to internal and external stakeholders on project status
- Maintain a repository of project documentation including project plans, dashboards, meeting notes and related requirements documentation
- Align and coordinated with assigned IT project manager on IT related components of projects and break down barriers across groups to develop and implement new solutions
- Assist with development of business requirements for IT related work items, acting as Business point of contact and SME
- Support business UAT testing needs through documented testing and quality control audits
- Support Business initiatives and collaboration between the Business, Operations, Finance, Underwriting and IT functions
- Ensures and drives day to day business compliance with all regulatory, legislative and internal compliance obligations.
Knowledge, skills and abilities that define success in this role
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with Agile methodology, formal Scrum and/or Project Management training an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio SharePoint
- Strong desire to help improve processes and mentor others - Experience in guiding and coaching multiple teams in the adoption of Agile mind-sets, behaviours, and best practices to facilitate their transition to high performing teams
- Strong planning skills - schedules, resource allocation, issue management, tracking, etc.
- Passion for keeping organised and detail-oriented, can work with minimum direction independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Capable of building strong relationships with a variety of internal and external parties alike, with demonstrable influencing and presentation skills at all levels
- Solutions-oriented - Someone who clearly articulates problems/opportunities/process frameworks for the team and is curious and resourceful in developing solutions
- Strong initiative and drive; an entrepreneurial spirit and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and to track & manage multiple projects
- Experience in some of these fields, with an advantage if experienced in all: fintech/insurtech, ecommerce, business development, account management and IT/operations management
