My client is an awarded, well-established, Australian marketing and media industry news website. Since incorporation, they have grown year on year and gone on to become a popular source for news, analysis and commentary on the advertising, PR, and media industries.
Due to their continued success, they are looking to recruit a Senior Partnerships Manager to join their team. Working as effectively 2nd in command to the Commercial Director, you'll help manage the team - pipeline, budget/targets, new business development, strategic account management and commercial strategy.
They have an existing client base for which briefs and campaigns will come through, but there will also be an emphasis on new business development due to the rapid changing pace of the media and marketing landscape - this exciting industry is constantly evolving
Types of clients that they work with include martech, media owners across radio, TV, outdoor and publishing, ad-tech, agencies and industry services and bodies.
**Day to days include**
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the media and marketing industry, the trends & market forces with a view to identifying new sales and product opportunities
- Attend industry related conferences and industry event for networking opportunities to generate new relationships and strengthen existing relationships
- Build commercially driven partnerships based on an understanding of client objectives that are solutions focussed and strategic with a short term and long-term outlook
- Strengthen existing relationships and collaborations with a contact plan that engages with key stakeholders in each company that you manage as part of your client territory. Work with at least two decision makers in each company that you manage
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships and report this intel in weekly group sales meetings and with your Commercial Director
- Generate commercial interest for market initiatives spanning new events, bespoke and trade initiative
**In return you'll receive**
- A base salary of up to $115,000
- A competitive, uncapped commission scheme (circa $150k first year OTE)
- Hybrid working environment - 2 days home, 3 days office
- Genuine opportunity to progress
Ideally, you'll 4-5 years sales experience and an understanding of digital advertising, events and sponsorship sales.
