**Your New Company**
Our client is a well known artisan food manufacturer shaping the Melbourne food scene and have been doing this for over 18 years now. Their product line boasts some of the most delicious bakery and confectionary items Melbourne's laneways have to offer.

The factory operates 24/7 and consists of around 300 people to oversee as well as machinery.

**What will you do?**
- Supervising all factory departments and monitoring allover performance of the factory
- Overseeing recruitment and selection of employees within the factory
- Managing training and development plans for employees
- Setting and communicating performance expectations for employees
- Preparing rosters, payroll and attendance records
- Planning production operations and establishing priorities
- Ensure all production quantities, specifications and scheduled delivery dates are met
- Adhere to OH& safety standards
- Co
- ordinating maintenance and repairs of machinery

**Who Are You?**

You need to be assertive, take direction and collaborate well with the management team. You are the focal point in ensuring all production meets their targets. This is an amazing role for career progression, work satisfaction and will fit someone who enjoys mentoring and learning new things.
- Experience in specialised food manufacturing and hygiene is required
- Training or relevant work experience in Good Manufacturing Practice is essential
- Specialised food manufacturing / food hygiene training (HACCP) is required.
- Strong leadership, communication and rapport building skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience leading and managing a large team
- Understanding and key focus on maintaining safety across plant operations
- Ability to meet, understand and manage production targets
- Co-operative team player with ability to work with different personality types and accepting of diversity
- In good physical condition with the ability to working in a cold and noisy environment
- Tertiary qualification in production management desirable
- Food safety instructor qualification is highly desirable
