**About Access, Critical Care, Imaging and Ambulatory Services Division (ACIA)**
- ACIA strategically contributes a critical end to end view of the Austin Health patient journey. ACIA drives operational efficiency and performance improvement through an evidenced based approach and methodology to maintain a continuous and holistic view of the patient's journey. The ACIA division provides expert advice to shape future-oriented models of practice and operational design

**About the role**
- The Access Manager oversees bed utilisation across Austin Health and collaborates with the broader ACIA team and members of the hospital executive, clinical staff and admissions areas.
- This role operates from within the Command Centre, within the ACIA office and has the authority to manage the bed resources throughout the organisation, considering the complexity of each individual clinical area and the need to balance bed supply and demand. The Access Manager role reports directly to the Divisional Manager of Access & Critical Care Services

**About you**
- As the Access Manager, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
- To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

- Relevant Postgraduate qualification, and or demonstrated working towards Masters e.g. in healthcare, management.
- Substantive nursing experience at a manager level, with a key understanding of a complex major teaching hospital.
- Significant experience and a strong understanding of the principles of patient flow, diversion models and bed resources management.
- Effective negotiation skills and ability to influence across a wide range of disciplines.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, excellence and best practice in health care service delivery.
- Significant Bed Management experience >5yrs
