As a part of the Bay Building Group, which has been operating nationally for 35+ years, we have specialised in restoration works to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced person to join our dynamic team to further lead, develop and grow our QLD restoration business.The successful applicant requires experience across both site-based restoration projects and restoration management.
The ideal candidate should also have current relationships with industry contacts, across either or both the insurance and or facility management restoration industries.Position Purpose:The Restoration State Manager oversees a Restoration team who are required to deliver restoration outcomes for multiple small, medium to large domestic and commercial restoration projects within the Insurance and Facility Management industries.The Restoration State Manager will oversee multiple staff (and their assigned project outcomes) and is ultimately responsible for site-based estimating and supervision work and the wider operational management of the business, such as quality assurance, timeliness, safety and the regions business commercials outcomes (P&L).

Must be able to develop and coach others and constructively review the work of others to improve and advance the skills, knowledge and performance levels of those who report to them.Must be able to apply the technical knowledge and skills required in the job role and responsibilities to achieve the expected outputs.Position Requirements / Selection Criteria:Proven skills in both domestic and commercial reinstatement worksExperience working directly with clients, building consultants, and all construction related trades and suppliersAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.Interpersonal skills to deal with both internal and external customers building long term relationshipsPeople management skills to effectively lead and drive team outcomesAble to develop business through quality service deliveryKnowledge and Experience:Experience in the insurance repair industry is essentialThorough understanding of the construction process, critical inspection points, permit and WHS requirementsUnderstanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards and State legislationTrack record of establishing and maintaining long term relationships/accountsPrevious experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders at different levelsProven Business Development experience within the Insurance industry.Our company places a strong emphasis on building long-standing working relationships.
