This role involves selling new Hitachi Mini Excavators, Construction Excavators up to 90 tonnes, Hitachi Wheel Loaders, Bell Articulated Dump Trucks, and used equipment of various brands and models.While there is an element of existing account management, the role emphasizes proactively prospecting for new business to grow our market share in the region.The territory includes parts of Metro Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, and the Southeast down to Mt Gambier, with the Hitachi Adelaide branch located in Cavan.Reporting to the SA Sales Manager, your responsibilities include:Managing relationships within an existing customer network in the territorySeeking sales opportunities for new and used equipment through daily cold calling and prospectingOrganizing and attending trade shows, government events, and networking activitiesKeeping the CRM system updated with your regional activitiesMeeting market share targets and KPIs set by managementAbout You :You should be a trustworthy individual with a high moral standard, able to work autonomously, and willing to travel regularly.
This is a customer-facing role that requires extensive cold calling from a supplied database.Requirements :Previous sales experience is highly regarded but not essential; graduates are encouraged to applyA genuine desire to deliver total customer satisfaction and develop positive relationshipsExcellent cold calling and telephone skills, or willingness to learn themMotivated to meet and exceed sales targetsExperience with CRM systems or ability to learn quicklyConfident, courteous, professional, and ethical sales approachReasonable mechanical aptitudeCurrent Driver's LicenseAt Hitachi, we believe success comes from our market-leading products and our people.
