**Responsibilities**:
In the role of an Impairment Benefits Specialist you will be responsible for providing an empathetic, personalised and customer centric service to stakeholders impacted by work injuries. The role is responsible for the proactive management of lump sum benefits for customers and clients which includes investigating and identifying if an entitlement exists.

**On a day to day basis you will**:

- Working within a fast-paced claims management portfolio of lump sum benefits
- Provide high quality customer service to internal and external clients, with particular emphasis when determining lump sum benefits ensuring a fair and appropriate outcome;
- Investigating, identifying and determining benefits in line with legislative requirements of the Return To Work Act 2014
- Reviewing claims to determine if a benefit exists
- Identify what information is required for an impairment assessment based on the Impairment Assessment Guidelines
- Ensure outcomes are effectively communicated and actioned within specified timeframes

Qualifications:
**We are interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Previous Workers Compensation / Claims Management experience
- Strong sense of accountability, attention to detail and have the ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional decision-making skills with the ability to critically analyse information available
- Ideally you will be able to interpret case law and be passionate about gaining knowledge of the Impairment Assessment Guidelines
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
