**About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the effective development, management and delivery of professional workplace health and safety services throughout the Health Service. Reporting to the Principal Advisor, Work Safety and Wellbeing (WSW), this role will assist to implement, review and report on work safety and wellbeing responses and strategies consistent with Departmental and Health Service policy.

About you

Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of documents
Demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety auditing, investigation and problem solving and identifying risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client focused solutions on WSW issues.
Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by the ability to manage own workload, projects, facilitate work groups and networks, work in a multidisciplinary environment and maintain effective working relationships using high level written communication and report writing skills.
Demonstrated project and change management skills, methodologies, principles and practices and ability to undertake training, coaching, developing capability of staff and managers and evaluation which lead to business improvement outcomes; and
Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.

Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
