Security Operations Specialist
About the Role:
Expertise in designing, implementing, and improving SOC capabilities is required for this role. We seek a Senior Security Operations Consultant to strengthen our clients' security operations by leveraging industry-leading SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Sentinel, Cortex, or other security monitoring tools.
Enable advanced threat detection, improve incident response workflows, and ensure that SOC teams are properly trained and supported.
Deep expertise in Australian industry-specific requirements for government agencies, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure sectors is essential.
Your Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing security controls, policies, and procedures is crucial for this position.
Conduct thorough security assessments to identify potential security breaches.
Lead and mentor SOC teams to ensure continuous improvement in detection and response capabilities.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in security operations, with a focus on SOC management and incident response is required.
Proven experience working in the Australian market with specific knowledge of ACSC guidelines and Australian regulatory requirements is necessary.
Certifications such as CISSP, SANS GIAC, and SOC certifications (e.g., CSIRT, GSEC) are highly desirable.
