What to Expect
- Tesla is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Commercial Legal team, with a focus on Energy Products and Procurement contracts.

Working closely with our commercial sales team, supply chain teams and in-house legal team, your primary focus will be supporting both Tesla's global commercial sales and operations teams as well as the procurement team in the preparation, negotiation, review and operationalization of contracts (including non-disclosure agreements, purchase and sale contracts, power purchase agreements, services agreements, software agreements and warranty documentation).

What You'll Do
- Assist with the preparation, negotiation, review and execution of contracts relating to the sale, installation and maintenance of Tesla's energy products (commercial and consumer facing)
- Assist the procurement teams in the review, negotiation, and drafting of commercial contracts (including purchase and sale contracts, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, and other contracts)
- Create and maintain accurate records of all contracts and act as the point person for questions on Tesla's contractual obligations
- Help the Business Operations team to operationalize contracts effectively, including creation of contract administration manuals where necessary
- Drive operational efficiencies within the legal team through data-driven analysis and continued process improvement
- Develop and maintain template forms of agreements for our Commercial business
- Support contract finalization and execution, including coordination regarding internal approval processes
- Assist in managing workload allocation between the Contract Managers and Attorneys on the Commercial team

What You'll Bring
- Excellent academic credentials. A law degree and active bar membership is a plus
- 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or comparable experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of commercial contracts. Experience with construction agreements, equipment supply agreements, supply chain matters, requests for proposals and commercial bids is a plus
- An immaculate approach to document/process organization
- Experience with contract management software and web-based document storage and management platforms
- A team player with the ability to proactively identify problems and identify pragmatic/creative solutions
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- A quick and flexible learner, intellectually curious, open-minded, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and excited by dynamic change
