The two brands, Shark and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the strong innovation pipeline on both brands. SharkNinja APAC has embarked on a bold plan for growing the business in the region, in which Australia plays a critical role. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Product Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Sydney.
Position Overview
The Product Manager will lead the development of the portfolio and product strategy for the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets. The scope covers both management of the existing core portfolio along with the introduction of key NPD. Key relationships will be with the ANZ business, along with Global Head Office in Boston, and Supply teams across Asia.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
- Own the development and evolution of the product portfolio across ANZ, ensuring product and sales strategies are aligned
- Be the product expert capable of showcasing and demonstrating product features and benefits both internally to sales teams and externally to retailers & distributors
- Lead the NPD process with Product team in global HQ, influencing product configurations, colour, pricing, within the regulatory environment
- Work closely with Commercial teams and Sales Strategy team to manage the performance of existing SKUs and make recommendations for range additions and deletions
- Identify white space in the market for product innovation
- Work closely with Product Development team at global HQ and Supply team to ensure new products are fit for the ANZ consumer and market, and projects are delivered on cost and on time
- Key input to the Marketing Communication team to develop effective communication at respective touch points
- Be involved in consumer insights and research studies to ensure products address key consumer needs and launches are maximised
- Manage the workflow and development of Product Associate
Experience
- 8+ years' experience in consumer product marketing, product development, innovation, and implementation
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and navigating the 'grey'
- Strong collaborator, project management and influencing skills
- Nimble, agile, and resourceful; turns challenges into opportunities
- Deep understanding of the ANZ consumer, the ANZ home, and the ANZ market
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Proficient drawing insights from multiple data sources
- Experience in Home Electronic Appliances (strongly Preferred)
