UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business are seeking a highly experienced
**Contract Manager** to join the locomotive maintenance team, based at our Hunter Valley Maintenance Centre on Clyde Street in
**Hamilton North**, Newcastle.
**About your role**
As the Contract Manager, your role with support with maintenance contract outcomes, whilst maintaining or improving planned revenue, gross margin, and cash flow expectations.
You will manage and control all project management baselines as applicable to assigned projects, through all phases of the project lifecycle and will be the primary representative and key client interface for the maintenance contract.
- Key responsibilities will include:_
- Support with reviews of the contract scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements the project subsequent initiation and setup of the project baselines within the agreed timeframes.
- Prepare, negotiate and conclude subcontracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Generation of the appropriate project planning and management documentation as contractually
- Participate in the bid and tender efforts as requested, to ensure that the capabilities and requirements of the respective operation and line of business
**About you**
- Technical trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Ability to effectively advise, negotiate, influence, and maintain positive relationships with internal and stakeholders at all levels
- Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Strong systems, operational, financial, resource planning and reporting skills
- Project Management qualification preferably AIPM Certificate IV or above
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
- Qualification or certification in continuous improvement methodologies such Lean, 3P, Six Sigma or a similar
