We are seeking an exceptional
Property and Construction Lawyer
to join our Legal team. This pivotal role will provide strategic legal support across major property transactions, construction projects, and compliance matters, enabling Levande's continued success in delivering leading retirement communities across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality legal advice on property acquisitions, land development, leasing, and complex real estate transactions.
Draft, negotiate, and review construction contracts, procurement documents, and development agreements.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, particularly within the retirement living and broader property sectors.
Advise on risk management, disputes, and legal strategy related to major property and construction initiatives.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to enable commercial outcomes while mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
Monitor legal developments and provide guidance on emerging issues in property, construction, and retirement living law.
About You
We are looking for a highly capable and commercially minded legal professional who brings:
Significant post-qualification experience in
property and construction law
, with a focus on property development.
Experience gained at a
top or mid-tier law firm
, combined with direct experience in
property development
within a reputable developer or large-scale corporate environment.
A strong background in commercial property transactions, leasing, and development
.
Deep knowledge of construction law, including contract negotiation, risk allocation, and project delivery frameworks.
Experience in retirement living, aged care, or commercial real estate (highly regarded).
The ability to balance strategic insight with practical, solution-focused legal advice in a fast-paced commercial setting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive approach and a genuine interest in supporting a purpose-led organisation.
