Positioned at the Monash Operations Centre, Notting Hill. The Waste Services Operator undertakes a variety of tasks to deliver responsive and quality public amenity maintenance and waste services throughout the City of Monash to meet Customer Service guarantees and service expectations. Reporting to the Supervisor Asset Cleansing and/or Waste Transfer Station Supervisor

**About the position**:
**The incumbent of the role will be responsible for**:
Providing a range of asset maintenance and waste services as required;
Inspecting and reporting on public space, assets and public amenities for cleanliness, damage, and safety;
Maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety standards; and

Providing quality customer service, while communicating respectfully to all members of the public and colleagues.

**Skills and Experience**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Trade of TAFE Certificate, or, an industry based training course, or highly relevant experience;
Waste and/or Cleansing operations or service industry experience;
Proficiency in the operation of a Medium Rigid (minimum requirement) with experience in the operation of heavy rigid vehicles, FE Loader, Forklift and Backhoe, small plant and machinery highly regarded;
Proficiency in the operation of Road and Footpath Sweepers (desirable);
The ability to liaise and develop ongoing working relationships within a diverse team; and

Customer service focus with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

**Requirements of the Position**:
Must be able to work hours outside the normal spread of hours (6am - 6pm) when required, including night shift, early start and weekend shifts;
Satisfactory Police Check; and

Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
