Waste Management Leader

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team and drive the delivery of waste services and achieve departmental goals.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, hands-on experience in waste services management, strong technical knowledge of the waste industry, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role:

  • Lead the Resource Recovery team responsible for kerbside municipal waste collection, transfer station operations, and public litter bins
  • Liaise with stakeholders on new waste reforms and implement community education campaigns

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate waste services delivery, including kerbside collections and transfer station operations
  • Liaise with stakeholders and implement community education campaigns
  • Lead and motivate a small team to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in waste services and management
  • Strong technical knowledge of waste industry and circular economy principles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
