We are currently seeking a dedicated Waste Manager to join our senior management team based at our high-profile Melbourne Airport Precinct contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee this crucial function across a dynamic and multifaceted contract.

You will be involved in all waste projects and will be required to manager and oversee all waste collection, disposal, and recycling programs. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.

**Your New Role**:

- Manage and oversee the daily waste collection across the Airport Precinct including Airside and Landside operations.
- Coordinate the waste and recycling collection services, waste disposal and ensure these services comply with legislative requirement and the Environmental Authority conditions.
- Supervise, monitor, and review the contracts waste management service agreements and Environmental Authority conditions.
- Develop, design, implement and provide analysis and reports on waste management strategies.
- Undertake waste management projects and initiatives across the contract.
- Provide advice on waste management and resource recovery operations, monitoring outcomes against operational standards and compliance with legislation and waste disposal practice.
- Develop, document and review Waste Management practices, procedures, policies, and systems, including being responsible for Waste Services Assets, Asset Register, Asset Management Plan, Asset Improvement Plan and Asset Risk Management Planning.
- Prioritise, investigate, respond to customer requests, and be responsible for managing (and implementing programs/initiatives to address) any contracted waste needs.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have significant recent experience within the waste management industry with demonstrated experience in waste management systems, project management and team management will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role.
- Proven ability to prioritise safety in the workplace.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- (Desired) Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or significant relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain an ASIC.
