Job Title
Achieving Technical Excellence as a Team Lead
We are seeking an experienced technical professional to lead our OT Systems team.
This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of operational technology (OT) systems and architecture, as well as experience in managing high-performing technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Authority: Guiding the development of OT systems, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and are reliable, available, and cyber-resilient.
Team Management: Overseeing the planning and deployment of OT architects, engineers, and LAN specialists to ensure seamless coordination across different functions.
Leadership: Managing a geographically dispersed team, balancing competing priorities, optimizing resource allocation, and driving delivery excellence across multiple states and sites.
Design Development: Leading the development, review, and approval of conceptual and preliminary system designs, aligned with strategic and compliance objectives.
Collaboration: Working with internal teams and external vendors, regulators, and partners to ensure integration readiness, operational handover, and technical compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with relevant certifications.
Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams within complex environments.
Expertise in engineering management and system operations across gas processing, power generation, renewables, and electricity transmission assets.
In-depth knowledge of OT systems, architecture, site communications networks, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with AEMO gas and power market systems, including dispatch and planning processes.
Strong stakeholder engagement, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative culture.
