Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Systems Architect to join our Solutions Architecture team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing complex systems, communicating technical concepts effectively, and leading development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design system-level architectures that meet business requirements, comply with best practices, and align with the enterprise strategy
  • Presentation of designs to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development process, resolving technical challenges and roadblocks
  • Ensure product feature developments align with the product technical direction and meet solution intent
  • Maintain designs and documentation as the system evolves over time
  • Contribute to technology selection and approval, guiding architectural decisions
  • Establish and maintain design standards, collaborating with other architects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field
  • +7 years of commercial software development experience, with expertise in Java, Microservices, and distributed architectures
  • Strong collaboration skills, effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Able to communicate technical information accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with modern security principles and technologies
  • Cloud-based technology experience
  • Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Lead Developer or System Architect within a product delivery organization
  • Business domain mining and/or technology OEM experience
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date on latest technology trends and make recommendations for adoption
  • Ability to provide feedback and training to colleagues, junior staff, and leaders
  • Willingness to get involved in code prototyping and method development
  • Interstate and international travel may be required
