Our Federal Government Client is seeking a **Monitoring Expert** to responsible for the Department's infrastructure, platforms, and networks, and to address the requirement to transition multiple business systems and infrastructure capabilities off their legacy platform

The Technology Operations & Support Branch is responsible for the Department's infrastructure, platforms, and networks. The Department is continually modernising its compute platforms and requires the services of highly experienced Monitoring Experts to address the requirement to transition multiple business systems and infrastructure capabilities off their legacy platforms.

**The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to**:

- Implementing monitoring solutions to meet business requirements including:

- Using a combination of tools to develop data sources and dashboards for the Department's Grafana based operational monitoring toolset
- Assisting in the identification and validation of potential operational monitoring solutions for the Department's Technology Operations Centre (TOC) initiative
- Analysing events and supporting event management activities of the TOC
- Maintaining and enhancing reporting activities to meet business requirements including:

- Producing Web dashboards for monitoring as required (e.g., Kibana, Grafana)
- Producing periodic performance and capacity reports following existing processes
- Enhancing existing reporting capability through the creation, and periodic production of new performance and capacity reports
- Providing assistance with feeding events into monitoring, alerting and reporting solutions
- Mentoring and coaching team members including transferring skills and knowledge
- Liaising with development/project teams to ensure that the appropriate performance monitoring and alerting is implemented.

**To be successful in this role you should have**:

- 2+ years' experience in design and implementation of monitoring solutions.
- 2+ years' experience in implementation of dashboard solutions.
- Excellent working knowledge/experience with two or more of the following:

- Grafana
- Kibana
- SQL
- Kafka
- Prometheus
