About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves working as a Project and Design Engineer to support the delivery of customer projects on time and on budget. As part of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing clients' specifications, drawings, and documentation to formulate engineering solutions that meet Eaton's contractual requirements and satisfy the customer.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical & mechanical drawings and reports to ensure designs/projects comply with relevant electrical and safety requirements.
Collaborate with project management teams to gain customer approval/acceptance of all submitted documents.
Develop standard product BOM & Routing, and purchase requisitions through the enterprise resource planning system, while liaising with product management, procurement, and assembly partners.
Process Engineering Change Orders through the ERP system.
Issue parts to assembly partners and coordinate project completion.
Create testing plans (ITP/ITS) and oversee product testing/FATs.
Provide guidance as necessary to procurement and assembly partners for the completion of projects.
Offer technical support to operations, quality assurance, and project management teams, including test result reviews, product failure investigations, and work instructions.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience as a project or design engineer preferably in electrical switchgear and installations for Medium or Low Voltage.
Experience in a design/manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, particularly Autodesk Inventor 3D, is highly regarded.
Knowledge of Standards AS/NZS3000, AS2067, AS/NZS62271 suite, and IEC62271 suite.
EPlan experience is highly valued.
SAP ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills are essential.
