**Operating Theatre Assistant - Team Leader Perioperative Services**
**Full Time and Part Time Opportunities available minimum of 64 hours per fortnight**
**We have opportunities for motivated and efficient individuals to become permanent members of the Perioperative** **Department.**
**About the Role**
This exciting hands-on role will be located within the Operating Theatre complex. As the Team Leader - Operating Theatre Assistant, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Support and assistance to patients in the Operating Theatres
- Preparation of the Theatre environment in accordance with operating lists, displaying attention to detail
- The care and maintenance of various equipment associated with the Theatre Department
- To be available in a general capacity to assist theatre staff
This position is a key element of the surgical process and the ability to quickly and efficiently manage your caseload will directly affect the care of patients.
**About You**
To succeed in this role, you will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work effectively according to directions. You will bring exceptional communication skills, a strong customer focus and thrive in fast paced environment.
You will also demonstrate.
- Completion of a Certificate III in Health Services or relevant accredited Theatre training programs
- A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Having the ability to lead and mentor a team essential
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
- Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate workload efficiently
- Relevant experience and understanding of issues associated in a perioperative setting
The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with weekend and evening shifts and participation in the On Call Roster will also be key for this role
