
Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist

A new possibility awaits an experienced Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist, specialising in Robotic Surgery, to join the operating theatre team on a full-time basis at a private hospital in Sydney.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Clinical Nurse in Robotic Surgery, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred care in robotic surgery;
Demonstrating professional practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards and code of ethics;
Fostering a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional; development, and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates, and students
Acting as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care;
Collaborating with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum;
Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners to enable high-quality patient outcomes.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Current AHPRA registration;
Minimum of 2 years' scrub/scout experience in a Robotic Operating Theatre;
Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
Passion for teaching, educating, and up-skilling staff in neurosurgery operating theatres.
REMUNERATION $51.81 - $57.48 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney's North West, is a 277-bed high acuity facility. The Orthopaedic ward is a new 55-bed ward delivering exceptional care under a multi-disciplinary team. Patients are admitted for elective or emergency orthopaedic procedures. A friendly and supportive medical and allied health team works alongside the nursing staff to provide and promote specialised and dedicated care to the patients.
