Due to business demands there is an immediate requirement for a Procurement Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to help support and lead them through a period of growth.

**The Role**

As a Procurement Assistant your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

- Perform and manage all purchasing functions ensuring best value for expenditure on goods and services.
- Understand and provide support and advice to management and staff on procurement matters.
- Liase with suppliers ensuring most up-to-date data is available for the supply of goods and services
- Assist the production team in the daily review of new orders, stock requirements and the creation of new items in the system.
- Assist with biannual stocktakes and instigate cycle counts where variances exist and correct with adjustment.
- Promote and maintain effective stakeholder engagement with customers and suppliers.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will be an enthusiastic individual with a minimum of 2 years experience in a procurement and / or admin role. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level attention to detail. You will have demonstrated experience with Microsoft programs and well-developed time management / organisational skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience working in medium to large manufacturing / trading businesses is highly desirable.
