Job Opportunity

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the entire contract and procurement lifecycle at Port Waratah.

This position is responsible for managing tender and contract processes, supporting stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with established procurement policies and systems.

  • Lead the execution of tender and contract management processes, including drafting commercial terms, creating tender documentation, evaluation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on contract management best practices.
  • Assist with contract transitions, negotiations, and amendments.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in contract negotiation and management, as well as the ability to manage high volumes of tenders and contracts in a complex environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTender and Contract Management:
  • Draft commercial terms, tender documentation, and evaluation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the tender and contract process.
Contract Holder Support:
  • Offer expert advice on contract management strategies.
  • Support contract holders in contract transitions and negotiations.

Purchasing Systems:

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in contract negotiation and management.

  • Understanding of effective procurement systems and practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Formal qualifications in contract management or purchasing are highly regarded.
