Amazon is seeking an experienced, motivated and genuine individual to join the Injury Management team as an Injury Management Specialist. You will be responsible for providing exceptional support and care to our associates, as well as partnering with internal stakeholders to develop a recovery at work culture. You will be involved in building and embedding programs, strategies and processes that support our growing business and ensure compliance to all applicable legislative frameworks.

Reporting to the Workers Compensation Manager, you will work cross-functionally with members from various internal teams including Operations, AMZL, Human Resources, WHS, Finance, Payroll.

This role will coordinate injury management across Sydney and Melbourne, ensuring our associates are appropriately supported with compensable and non compensable injuries/medical conditions, build internal stakeholder capabilities and create standards through collaboration, data analysis and first-hand experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Acts as the point of notification and contact for associates regarding any incident or injury that could or has resulted in a Workers' Compensation claim
- Responsible for driving stakeholder compliance with the AU RTW Program, and any associated procedures and processes across Injury Management business units to influence positive business and individual outcomes
- Proactively manage workers compensation claims to minimise lost time, facilitate sustainable return to work outcomes, and promote best practice injury management support
- Implement early intervention strategies and processes to assist injured associates return to work in a timely manner that is reflective of capacity
- Advise, coach and proactively support injured associates, managers, HR, WHS and all relevant internal stakeholders on return to work processes to facilitate positive outcomes that align with operational needs
- Manage and develop tailored return to work plans with relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate training and development initiatives as required with key stakeholders
- Assist in the development, implementation and BAU delivery of organisational workers compensation processes and initiatives such as metric reporting on claims performance
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement through review of claims performance from reporting, data analysis and qualitative review with relevant stakeholders
- Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively
- Experience with occupational injury management/recovery at work programs
- Experience with claims performance reporting
- Experience in training/coaching business stakeholders on evidence based injury management
- Passion for promoting recovery at work
- Proficient in digital recordkeeping
