With over 200 professionals and a bold vision for the future, this team is committed to empowering communities through trusted solutions.As the Data Governance Lead, you'll work across departments to define and deliver the organisation's data strategy.
You'll champion best practices in data governance, develop robust policies and procedures, and ensure data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with compliance standards.Champion organisational understanding of data's role and valueDefine and implement data governance policies, procedures, and quality standardsMonitor alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance (e.g. Privacy Act)Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure governance is embedded in data solutionsPromote best practices in dashboard and visualisation managementSupport leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systemsImprove stewardship and metadata management processesEnsure large and complex data sets are usable, understandable, and well-governedThe Successful ApplicantA successful Governance Analyst should have:Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Skilled in Power BI, with strong visual design capabilitiesExposure to Python, SQL, GIT, and XMLHands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g. MS Purview or equivalent)Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and data qualityFamiliarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, GDPR, DMBOK, ISO 42001Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial outcomes through data strategyBachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, IT or related fieldWhat's on OfferThis organisation has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for two consecutive years and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation.Perks include:Nine-day fortnight - enjoy every second Friday offParental leave - 16 weeks paid for primary carers, plus super on unpaid leaveWorkiversary rewards - loyalty celebrated annuallyGlobal working options - work internationally for a few weeks each yearEarly access to long service leave - available after just 5 yearsWomen in Technology program - supporting diversity and inclusionIf you're ready to take the next step in your career as a Governance Analyst, apply today and contribute to meaningful work in the not-for-profit sector
