**Role Description/Criteria**

There is an opportunity for an energetic Learning Support Officer who has a passion for learning and is committed to working with teachers to provide a child-centred environment that caters for students from diverse backgrounds. By negotiation, the role could be 0.6 FTE.

The successful applicant will require:

- commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
- Certificate III Education Support or Children's Services Minimum
- current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Criminal Record check
- work collaboratively with teaching staff and students with regard to student learning needs
- assist children with their learning needs, either in groups or individually
- document student observations using a school's method of recording
- respect the diversity of student's abilities
- ability to take initiative in an educational environment
- participate in Program Support Group meetings (PSG) as required
- comply with the school's Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and procedures relating to Child Safety
- the ability to work collaboratively, as part of a professional learning team

Additional training in intervention is welcomed. Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
