The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the Willetton SHS Flexible Learning in Schools (FLiS) program, displaying strong organisational skills and a commitment to supporting student pathways. Ideally, the successful applicant will have prior experience and possess an excellent understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Workplace Learning, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school's VET and Workplace Learning programs.
Working closely with the Program Coordinator, this role will involve liaising with students, parents, and Registered Training Organisations to assist in identifying and developing individual training pathways for Year 11 and 12 FLiS students. This includes sourcing tailored VET programs, securing suitable industry placements and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures. The position also involves liaising with employers and promoting workplace learning within the community. In addition, the role requires facilitating student work experience placements, workplace visits, contributing to career counselling, and supporting students to achieve their post-school goals.
The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in using multiple school database systems, including Reporting to Parents . Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records will be an essential component of this role, with a high level of attention to detail required at all times. Keeping accurate records and ensuring they are routinely maintained is important to this role.

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace learning outcomes and contexts with the ability to induct employers, staff and students on workplace learning procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, evaluating and reporting on suitable programs for VET students in acquiring work skills.
- Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated sound written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, employers and parents.
- Demonstrated initiative and sound organisational skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate activities.
