About the role
A unique opportunity to work a predominately 9:00am to 5:30pm schedule as a Chef Manager.
This role reports directly to Operations Managers and ensures the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Duties
Preparation and cooking of meals as per the set menu
Ensure meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
Communicating with Site Manager and Facility staff
Provide supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices are maintained
Completion of food safety documentation
Adhere to budgets, stock take and regular ordering procedures
Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts
Skills & experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Experience in Aged Care preferred
Experience with Western Cooking
Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes
