**The Purpose**:
This role will deliver data and analytical insights for Fraud Prevention & Risk Operations with a focus on identifying and mitigating fraudulent activity. Utilizing a combination of data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques, the Data Analyst will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of fraud detection and prevention strategies.
**Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Analyse large datasets to identify potential fraudulent activities and patterns.
- Monitor and analyse fraud metrics and trends to identify new patterns and areas of focus.
- Capture and interpret data from a range of sources and communicate these findings across departments, demonstrating an analytical and inquisitive mindset.
- Manage data quality and ensure actionable uses organisation-wide, showing autonomy in identifying and responding to complex issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fraud prevention measures and enhance fraud detection capabilities.
- Deliver solutions and innovations in the data space that will support business goals, contributing to creative thinking and finding new ways to complete tasks and increase efficiency.
**Key Competencies and Skills**:
- 3+ years of experience in Data and Insights within a Fraud and/or business context.
- **Strong experience with Power BI, Power pivot, Power query, DAX, SQL & Python**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data platforms, technology and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of fraud detection techniques and tools.
