Data Analyst - Fraud Detection

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in the Integrity Operations Section. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets and identifying multifaceted fraud and non-compliance issues.

  • Experience in working in a geographically dispersed and multi-disciplined teams
  • Drawing on professional experience in identifying and gathering relevant information from diverse inter and intra-departmental, and open sources
  • Undertaking objective and systematic analysis of complex ACIC data sets and special collections
  • Assessing the validity and reliability of information and data collected
  • Monitoring progress of intelligence products and cycles
  • Supporting senior analysts and investigators in research and analysis of complex fraud issues
  • Maintaining awareness of DVAs fraud risk environment and nationally significant criminal activity

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough analyses of complex data sets to identify potential fraud and non-compliance issues
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information
  • Working collaboratively with other teams in the Integrity & Security branch to effectively counter fraud
  • Contributing to the capture of information from intelligence operations and investigations
