**How will I help?**

Fraud Prevention is responsible for protecting our customers, the Westpac Group, and its employees from fraud and scams. As a Fraud Analyst specialising in internal fraud, you'll leverage your data analytics skills to provide insight, and design, test, & deploy detections that identify risk of internal fraud or malpractice.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Analyse and interrogate data to enhance the detection of fraud and malpractice.
- Maintain and continuously improve existing detections and analytics frameworks.
- Develop strategies to identify and mitigate fraud through system innovation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, test, and implement new detections.
- Share knowledge and insight with the team, to foster innovation and development.

**What do I need?**
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science etc
- Technical skills in some of SQL, SAS, R or similar languages are essential with proven experience in using these to interrogate and manipulate large data sets
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail and focus
- Experience in working in a Fraud or Risk Analytics environment within financial services would be highly advantageous
