Maintenance Manager

The Cottesloe Beach Hotel is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Maintenance Manager
to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our venue. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of venue condition, cleanliness, and safety, among other duties. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Maintenance Tasks
: Handle daily maintenance requests, work orders, and customer inquiries, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
Venue Condition Oversight
: Conduct daily inspections and servicing of the property to ensure optimal functionality and appearance.
Cleanliness Standards
: Maintain a high standard of venue cleanliness, oversee contract cleaning services (public areas only), and implement a deep cleaning program, as required.
Preventative Maintenance Program
: Develop and manage a venue-wide preventative maintenance and servicing schedule to minimise downtime and prolong the life of hotel assets.
Oversee Deliveries
: Oversee all deliveries to the venue, coordinate yard staff (yardies), ensure adherence to company procedures.
Work, Health & Safety (WH&S):
Manage all WH&S procedures, including reporting, training, and implementing proactive safety measures to create a safe working environment.
Special Projects:
Assist with special projects as directed by the General Manager, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
Additional Duties
: Perform any other responsibilities as required to support the smooth operation of the property.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in property management or maintenance within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning standards.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage a team effectively and work collaboratively with other departments.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
