Leading South Australia's Emergency Services
The Chief Executive role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of emergency services in South Australia. As a leader, you will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and manage a risk-based Emergency Management Framework for the State.
This position requires a dynamic and outward-focused individual with relevant experience and expertise to support the Minister for Emergency Services and Correctional Services in discharging all legislative responsibilities.
Develop and manage a comprehensive Emergency Management Framework that aligns with national standards.
Collaborate with senior officials to ensure effective resource allocation and frontline service delivery.
Maintain strategic policy frameworks and risk management strategies to support sector improvements.
Engage with volunteer associations and unions as part of stakeholder engagement efforts.
Responsibilities
Work closely with senior officials to develop a risk-based Emergency Management Framework for the state within a national context.
Ensure effective allocation of resources to provide frontline services protecting and supporting South Australia's community.
Develop and maintain a strategic policy framework supported by risk management strategies and systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to initiate sector improvements and maintain key capabilities such as Public Information and Warning Systems and the State Emergency Information Call Centre Capability.
Engage with relevant volunteer associations and unions as part of the role's stakeholder engagement.
Support the Minister for Emergency Services and Correctional Services in fulfilling legislative responsibilities under the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005 (SA).
