Our client is a leading NDIS Disability Support Organisation committed to delivering the highest quality professional & personalised care whilst helping clients lead a fulfilling life. They operate multiple supported independent living (SIL) & Child, Youth & Family (CYF) facilities and community programs for their participants across Melbourne South East.

They are seeking an Authorised Program Officer (APO) to join their growing team. This role will support managers and staff across the business, ensuring quality, compliance and implementation of positive behaviour support plans and practices.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure all SIL & CYF facilities are compliant with Victorian Senior Practitioner legislative and reporting requirements.
- Review Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and work closely with Behavioural Practitioners and clients to ensure best practice is conducted.
- Advise Practitioners of any unauthorised regulated restrictive practice (RRP) that requires implementation in a Behavioural Support Plan.
- Understand relevant client care plans and how they contribute to a regulated restrictive practice (RRP)
- Liaise with Managers to ensure implementation of the BSP and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with the Victorian Senior Practitioner (VSP) Office in relation to concerns of RRP.
- Liaise with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission regarding reportable incidents
- Monitor changes in regulation guidelines and communicate to key staff
- Provide advice, support and training to staff that reflects positive behaviour support principles
- Experience working in Community Care/NDIS in an APO or similar compliance role.
- Understanding of the Disability Act and NDIS legislative operating requirements
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated & organised with a high degree of initiative
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Working with Children Check, NDIS Screening Check & Police Check
- Covid Vaccinated
