**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our Tamar Valley site. Reporting into the Site Manager, the role is responsible for planning and directing the daily management and coordination of the site's Quality Assurance function, as we are in the Dairy industry, previous experience in this area is highly regarded.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Deliver on strong leadership to the QC, QA and Hygiene teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce complaints, resolve issues, and optimize quality.
- Track microbiological results, escalate deviations, and investigate contamination with maintenance and production teams.
- Establish, review, and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications based on legislative, customer, and industry requirements.
- Manage and oversee Food Safety Programs, GMP audit programs, and compliance with QA policies and standards.
- Specify and ensure raw material quality, manage third-party audits, and drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Oversee testing schedules and address out-of-specification results.
- Proactively assess, determine, negotiate, and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications based on all legislative, BRC, SQF/FSSC22000, GMP, HACCP and customer requirements
**About you**:
- At least 5 years' experience at a Quality Manager level, ideally in the dairy industry
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Strong interest in the manufacturing world and you like working with people, understand machines and transformation process
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- In depth understanding of quality - AQL, root cause analysis, CAPA management
- Ability to travel domestic and internationally as required
