Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical & Quality Manager to lead our ready-mix concrete product services across Tasmania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing aspects of our concrete and quarry supply including mix design, performance, market acceptance, sourcing and implementing innovative solutions to meet customer demands and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility and autonomy for Tasmania's Technical Services department across our Concrete and Quarries operations
  • Leading and providing assistance to a team of Lab Technicians and a Lab supervisor
  • Oversight of product design development and maintenance in accordance with AS1379, NATA Certification and customer requirements
  • Effectively using operational excellence to nurture ideas, optimize materials, develop strategies, and invest in continuous improvement
  • Providing hands on mentorship and guidance to technical, sales and production teams
  • Frequent travel to sites located across Tasmania to oversee key functions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within the concrete, civil construction industry or similar
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Concrete and quarry products, materials and production
  • Strong leadership attributes including people management skills, passion and drive to mentor and develop staff
  • Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from various functions to effectively manage projects
  • Advanced computer skills with strong proficiency in relevant technical systems
